Minnekhada Lodge

Client

Metro Vancouver Parks

Location

British Columbia

A majestic, historical landmark set in the heart of Coquitlam, British Columbia. Minnekhada Lodge has been around since 1933, when the area was purchased by the Province of British Columbia, who commissioned the building of the lodge. During the Great Depression, it was a destination for those who sought solace in nature: the forests, meadows, and wetlands of this area, now called the Tri-Cities, offered breathers a much-needed respite from the economic hardship of the era. The grounds and buildings of Minnekhada Lodge have seen many changes over the years, for which we are grateful. The main lodge, originally commissioned as an administrative office for the regional park, still stands today and is used for group meetings and wedding receptions.
